Blogger and reporters have been buzzing around trying to find out if Netflix and Microsoft are going to combine since Netflix’ CEO Reed Hastings has joined the Microsoft family. People are estimating that if this does happen it will most likely been announced at the Gamer Developer’s Conference in San Fransico on Wednesday. all the big announcements that Microsoft has been giving all have been at a very big event that brings in about 100,000 guests or more. Such as in 2000, when Bill Gates took the stage and announced about the original Xbox and other major events.
Now that its 2008, Microsoft has made no effort in hiding that they want to become a Big Entertainment Player and will try their best in achieving that goal.

Oscar were very interesting on Feb. 24 2008, alot of good nominations were announced and some of the nominees didn’t believe that they should have been nominate for what they had gotten nominate for. Ellen Page was one of the nominees that didn’t think she deserved to be nominated for what she got. She was the actoress that starred Juno, and she believe that she didn’t do as good and didn’t think she really deserve the nomination.
Other actors and actoresses were all gathered having fun and just relaxing and having a great time with each other. But this year’s Oscars wasn’t as good or as thought out as one’s before in my opinion but overall it was a very interesting Oscar this year.

Get ready to be able to surf the net at 30,000 feet. Several airlines have been testing or pre-testing Internet In-flight services. “Welcome to the information super skyway,” “You may now log on.” These sayings are the new ways of the airlines to get more customers to buy more tickets now that they have Internet, the people mat now surf the net while flying.
Many people are always wanting to use the Internet while in flight but have to provide themselves with it. But now, airlines are actually trying to give more to the customers, which is like saying getting more for your money. This move will really boost the airlines sales due to the fact that it will bring in more people wanting to fly than drive so that they can get more money.
I believe that this is a easy and smart thing for the airlines to do due to the fact that more people are bored on flights now it gives them something fun and better to do and make the trip more enjoyable.

Who could have ever thought that the Giants were going to lose? Lol. Well they did it, Manning and the Giants beat the Patriots and won the Super Bowl this year. The Giants have finally beat the heavily-favored Patriots that stopped their perfect season this year.
No one would expect the Giants to win, they were trailing 14-10. Manning was very under siege and looked like he was going to get sacked and was going to lose the game. but he let the ball fly…….and then David Tyree out-jumped Rodney Harrison, got his hands on the ball and then cluthed the ball in towards him and then TOUCHDOWN!!!!! Giants beat the Patriots 17-14……It was amazing….Who would have believed that the Giants were going to win.

Democrat John Edwards announced that he was quitting the ‘08 presidential race on Wednesday, which was a scrappy underdog bid. Edwards told his close circle of senior advisers that he was going to announce his parting the race in New Orleans which has been billed as a speech of poverty.
This decision came after Edwards had lost four of the last states, where his rivals had taken the spotlight from the start, which were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Edwards plan to announce with his wife and three kids, and then Edwards was going to help out the Habitat for Humanity soon after.

In Las Vegas, a New GPS was in full affect at the 2008 Consumer Electronic Show, which had veterans indroducing more sophisticated navigation systems. New PNDs (personal navigation devices) are supposeably adding new and better features ranging from time information feeds, such as gas prices at the closest gas station on the 3D mapping, speech recognition for hands free operation. The New GPS Garmin is-not-yet released is $1000, and other GPSs Nuvi 780 and 880, who don’t support hands free operation, are alittle upset due to the new hands-off operation that might cause their business to go under.

In one of his last keynote speeches for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft (MSFT) Chairman William Gates had invisioned on the technology for the company during the next decade. Jay Greene, the BusinessWeek’s Seattle bureau chief, stated that Gates had wondered aloud about what his last day would be like leaving MicroSoft.
Gates is probably really down in the dumps knowing that he will be leaving Microsoft after all the hard work he has put into the Company and then having to leave his life work would make any man or woman really down.
Gates has shown so many new technology advances that have made Microsoft the company that it is today. Gates and Microsoft Entertainment and Device Division President Robert Bach have highlight at least a handful of Microsoft services that have reflected how computering is moving away from traditional desktop PCs and into the living rooms, cars, and even telephones.

Generation Y
Written by: Kenneth Elliott
Date: 01/11/08
Class: Composition/Eng 112
There are all different types of generations that have come and gone. But one of generations today, is the Generation Y; this generation is based on the people born between the years of 1978 to 1989, and the ages of 16 to 27. As for me I am part of the Generation Y, most of the accusations of the Gen Y workers, relate to how I like to do things at my work or the work I’ve done in the past.
I believe that the Gen Y workers will change the world in the future because due to their hard work, multi-tasking abilities, and their abilities to push themselves, they will pass on their genes to their children and possibly grow even more through the generations. I believe today that we have grown a lot more than what researchers or scientists have predicted we would be at. We have so many Gen Y workers now due to the fact that they might be showing their parents that they are will to work hard for something they want, or even try to better their lifestyles due to the fact that seeing so many thing that can happen to them they decided to change and work hard for that precise reason.
My reaction when I first say this article, I was kind of surprised that I was part of the Gen Y, and it related to me in most of the expectations that researchers had described about the Gen Y. I am just glad that I am part of something big and I really had no idea I was. Now I have an even more determination to try and work harder and try my best.
